The main component of the new alginate medical excipient is algae in seawater, which is an excipient made from insoluble polysaccharide alginate similar to cellulose in algae. Alginate can combine with metal ions to form salts and is a good carrier for various metal ions. Commonly used are calcium alginate and zinc alginate excipients. Calcium alginate excipients do not cause pain from new meat damage during the replacement process and are easily accepted by patients. It can also achieve hemostasis by exchanging calcium and sodium ions, and has the function of adsorbing bacteria and preventing them from entering the wound.
